All Bryce Cotton needed was a chance
In 2010
The former Palo Verde High basketball player had no college recruiting interest and was days away from enrolling at a community college in 2010 when his life changed with one unexpected phone call. Providence College coaches were searching for a guard and stumbled on his highlights on a recruiting service website.

I didn’t even have a Division-II offer at the time — nothing,” Cotton said. “I knew I could play and was just being overlooked. I was praying for a chance and kept working hard. Providence called, and my prayers were answered.”Three days later, Cotton was enrolled at Providence, accomplishing his dream of becoming a college player

Best of Bryce Cotton's Senior Year

Simply , Bryce Cotton had an amazing college career that he is a playmaker, which should matter more than size as a guard. Cotton plays hard and has all the tools to succeed at the next level, and NBA teams could be sorry if they pass on him, as he can be a great backup at the guard position and a future a role player in the starting spot.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

On may 27 -2014
Bryce Cotton will work out for Miami Heat and San Antonio Spurs this week, according to his agent.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

In jun 2014
Bryce Cotton also worked out with the famed Boston Celtics, a team located right in the heart of the New England area. Celtics fans and the like would know that is where he thrived for four years with Providence College. He worked out along with other top scorers in college, most likely due to the Celtics not ranking highly on the offensive end in the spectrum a year ago. Cotton can fit the needs of the Celtics from a scoring standpoint, and would also be able to pass when needed to, showing that specifically against North Carolina in March Madness, when he made plenty of great passes. The Celtics already have two starting guards in Avery Bradley and Rajon Rondo, so Bryce Cotton would be a backup for the team, if they drafted him. But, with Phil Pressey waiting in the wings and Rajon Rondo on the trade block, his opportunities may have to wait should he land in Boston.

Spurs confirmed  that the deal wouldn’t just be a Summer League deal, but an actual free agent contract that would have to be signed after July 1. If the report is true and the Spurs do sign Cotton, one has to wonder what the future holds for backup point guards Patty Mills (who is an unrestricted free agent) and Cory Joseph, who will be playing this fourth season with the Spurs
